My name is Kirsten Ackerman. I'm an Anti-Diet Registered Dietitian - This means I won't focus on weight or weight loss and I won't recommend any way of eating that relies on external food rules. These kinds of rules disconnect us from our bodies and contribute to guilt, shame, fear and, ultimately, erratic behavior around food. Through an Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size aligned approach, I will guide you to restoring trust in your body, attuning to your own internal cues, and explore practices of body image healing.
During our work together:
You’ll be able to ditch diets for good so that your life and your every thought no longer revolves around what calories you are consuming.
You’ll learn how to accept your body exactly how it is so that you can do all the fun things you’ve been putting off until you lose X lbs.
You’ll discover that you can trust your own body and that you are a worthy and valuable human being exactly as you are.
Here is how it works:
1. We'll meet virtually for a 60 minute chat so we can get to know each other. During this chat we'll work together to decide on what areas of your relationship with food and your body you would like to focus on.
2. We'll then meet every other week for 30 minute follow ups to move forward with your key focuses.
